Best practice guides

To support the bridge management code of practice, Management of Highway Structures, the UK Bridges Board has commissioned a detailed guide on the management of masonry arch bridges. Part-funded also by Network Rail, this will be published by the Construction Industry Research and Information Association {CIRIA), and will be available from their website www.ciria.org.

Details are available of proposed companion projects on the management of retaining walls and older metal bridges.
