The wearing of street ironwork and its contribution to road safety

Worn street ironwork can be a traffic safety hazard, particularly for motorcyclists.  Research is needed to establish how ironwork wears down, and how accidents can be mitigated in consequence.  The project will produce advice to local authorities and ironwork manufacturers to reduce accidents.
