SCANNER Quality Assurance and Audit

SCANNER surveys are conducted using accredited machines. To provide local authorities, and national governments, with confidence that the data being provided are consistent, reliable and suitable for both national performance monitoring and to support local maintenance management, quality assurance testing and audit services are carried out on behalf of local authorities.

These services are carried out by TRL Ltd under a contract let by the Department for Transport on behalf of the UK Roads Board and local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales.
